INFORMATION FOR
William Paterson University's state-of-the-art television production facilities have two studios and two control rooms featuring Sony XVS and Ross Carbonite series production switchers, Yamaha digital audio consoles, six studio-configured Sony cameras, and an 18-foot jib. Newsroom software and graphics come from industry leader Ross Video, which has systems deployed in production facilities nationwide.
Studio A is a 60' x 40' space with a 17' hard cyc suitable for large-scale productions. Studio B is our "News Room," which supports classes in Broadcast Journalism and our weekly production of the award-winning show, "WP Sports Desk".
Hands-on instruction and supervision allow students to gain the knowledge to create award-winning productions outside of the traditional classroom experience.
In tandem, the class work and the club provides over 1000 hours of hands-on opportunities in media production experiences for students throughout their time in the Communication Department.
