The SMART lab aims to serve as a hub for teaching, research, and service in social media practice and scholarship. We offer education in social media communication for students to hone their social media skills, foster cutting-edge research in the growing field of digital and social media communication, and collaborate with industry partners to provide professional services.

Brandwatch is a social media analytic tool that tracks billions of conversations happening online every day and allows brands and companies to understand consumer insights, trends, influencers, and brand perception.
Sprout Social is a social media management and intelligence tool for brands and agencies of all sizes to manage conversations and surface the actionable insights that drive real business impact.
NodeXL is a network analysis and visualization software package for Microsoft Excel that supports social network and content analysis.
Hootsuite is a social media marketing and management tool that creates, schedules, publishes, and manages your content and ad campaigns across social networks from a single dashboard.
Canva is a graphic design platform that is used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content.
