Apply for a Donor Scholarship

How to Apply for a Donor Scholarship

The Donor Scholarship application is available during the spring semester. Currently enrolled students may complete the general application to be considered for a donor scholarship for the upcoming academic year. By completing this one application, students will automatically be matched to any of the more than 300 scholarship opportunities for which they are qualified. In the application, you will be asked to provide the following:

  • Essay (required);
  • Letter of recommendation from a William Paterson professor or staff member, external supervisor from work or an internship, mentor, instructor, or coworker (required);
  • Resume (optional, but highly recommended).

The majority of donor scholarship awards are not automatically renewed. Students must complete the application, including the essay and letter of recommendation every spring, in order to be considered for scholarship support for the upcoming academic year.

The donor scholarship application for the 2024-25 academic year is closed. Click here to see the list of scholarships available for the 2024-25 academic year.

The donor scholarship application will be available in spring 2025 to apply for a donor scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year.
