LGBTQIA+ Wellness and Student Support

The Office of Student Diversity & Inclusion proudly collaborates with the Counseling, Health, & Wellness Center on a variety of programs and direct resources for students.

The Counseling, Health, & Wellness Center (CHWC) is committed to providing culturally competent services in an environment that is inclusive and supportive of our diverse William Paterson community.  The LGBTQIA+ Health Working Group oversees planning and protocols specific to the needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Non-binary, and all gender-expansive patients. The CHWC is located on the Ground Floor of Overlook South, between Matelson and White Hall. For more information about Gender Affirming Health Care services and the Statement of Care for Students Identifying as Transgender please check out CHWC LGBTQ+ Health Services

LGBTQIA Student Support Group meets on Thursdays from 12 - 1 p.m. on Zoom.

The LGBTQIA+ Student Support Group is a new collaborative initiative supported by the Counseling Health and Wellness Center and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. This group is a peer-led experience that may be a great opportunity for individuals who would like some extra support related to their LGBTQIA+ identities, but do not want to start formal counseling, or would like to find a small, supportive network on campus.
