Here's a few words from Dr. Datchi, the BSSR certificate director.

The Certificate in User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) is designed to prepare students for careers in User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX). The UI/UX approach has become the standard for developing apps, and is commonly employed as a part of the process to implement and update product experiences (everything from online dating, to television/media apps, to navigating driving directions with maps). In this program, students develop a diverse skillset in analysis, evaluation, and implementation of designs that enable product users to have fulfilling interactions with software and virtual environments. Students also build digital wireframe models (i.e., partially functional, early versions of an app), undergo usability tests of their designs (i.e., observation and analysis of a user with an app), and work in interdisciplinary collaborative teams towards project goals.

Here's a few words from Dr. Mike Gordon, UI/UX certificate program director, about these tracks.
