Musical Audition - Online Submissions Only An applicant must submit links to two audio files of their digital music, one video link demonstrating the basic musical technique (see #2 below), and a paragraph of text describing what DAWs, software, hardware, etc, they are using to create digital music URLs are preferred (e.g., YouTube, Soundcloud, etc). Two Audio Files: Applicants are encouraged to include original compositions, songs, live performances, musical arrangements and any additional material that would help the committee make a more accurate determination of your abilities to create digital music. There are no genre or style limitations. Basic Musical Technique (video): Sing a one-octave major scale, unaccompanied. Sing "Happy Birthday," unaccompanied. Play a "C" on a keyboard or other instrument and sing the pitch. Do the same with "Eb" and "A". Play a "D" and an "F#" one at a time on a keyboard or other instrument then sing them one right after the other. The video should not contain edits within individual scales or during the pitch matching. The video image and the audio should be clear without distortion and without excessive environmental noise.
