From : 03/14/24 12:00 PM To : 03/14/24 06:00 PM At approximately 11:55am on Thursday 3/14, multiple WPUNJ websites including the WP homepage, WPconnect, Banner, and others started to display a message about an 'insecure connection'. This message was due to an issue with a component in the university's network that handles web traffic. The device had reverted to a prior configuration with an older SSL certificate, which resulted in the warnings appearing when visiting the websites.The issue was resolved within 15 minutes of being reported. While the 'insecure connection' warning is ominous, there was no immediate security risk.Thank you.Information Technology From : 03/13/24 05:00 PM To : 03/14/24 07:00 AM 3/13 11:00PM Update: All University's phone (voice) services are restored as of 7:30pm. Official notification of restoration was received from our voice service provider at 9pm. Issue identified as faulty equipment on the provider voice infrastructure. All repairs were completed as of 3/13/24 9pm. 3/13 8:40 pm Update:The root cause of the issue was identified to be a problem impacting the university's phone service provider. While we are waiting for official confirmation from the provider, the issue seems to be resolved as of approximately 7:30pm Wednesday evening. IT staff will continue to monitor in the event of any further disruptions and update in the event of any change in status. Thank you for your patience.
