William Paterson University's Communication Disorders Department

The program in Communication Disorders prepares students to pursue certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Both the graduate program and the Speech and Hearing Clinic are accredited in speech-language pathology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Provisions are also made to qualify students for New Jersey certification as a speech language specialist as well as for New Jersey State licensure. Thus, graduates of the program are qualified to work as speech-language pathologists in schools, medical settings and private practice.
