Library Reserves is a temporary collection of books, journal articles, sample examinations and other print and electronic materials set aside at a professor's request for the non-commercial and educational use by students. Reserved materials are intended to supplement, not replace, course texts purchased by students.

Databases with the icon can be used both on- and off-campus, while those with the must be used in the Library. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service obtains, whenever possible, materials not available in the William Paterson University (WPUNJ) Library collection for the educational and research needs of the University community. This may include, but is not limited to, books, journal articles, documents, and audio-visual materials The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service obtains materials from other libraries, both in this country and throughout the world. ILL is provided to the students, faculty and staff of WPUNJ only.
