Gifts of residences and real estate provide tax deductions, avoid capital gains taxes, and in some instances permit continued lifetime residence. You may contribute real property as an outright gift, a gift and continue to live in the home, or an asset given with retained life income. Tangible Personal Property  
Contributions of tangible personal property including rare books, art, and antiques may provide you with immediate tax advantages. To take advantage of a charitable income tax deduction, your gift must relate directly to William Paterson's activities and mission.
