Community Organizations - Partner with Us

There are many ways for local organizations and community members to collaborate with William Paterson University. This page is a starting point to help community members find ideas for connecting with the University.

  • Become a site for a student volunteer group. Many student organizations as well as professors teaching courses with service learning requirements are looking for opportunities for service in our neighboring communities. The Office of Campus Activities, Service and Leadership can help.
  • Become a mentor for a William Paterson student. The Pesce Family Mentoring Institute was created to help prepare students for their careers or graduate education by connecting successful professionals, including alumni and local community business partners, with select William Paterson University undergraduate students.
  • Host a student intern at your organization or business or participate in a WP internship, list employment opportunities, or participate in a WP employment and internship fair. The Career Development Center can help.
  • Many events on campus are free or low cost and open to the public, making them an educational and simple way to connect with William Paterson University. Visit the University Events Calendar for information on the wide range of opportunities available for community members.
