International Students

For the purpose of admission, William Paterson University international students are defined as:

 "An international student is defined as an individual who is enrolled for credit at an accredited higher education institution in the U.S. on a temporary visa, and who is not an immigrant (permanent resident with an I-51 or Green Card), or an undocumented immigrant, or a refugee." (UNESCO)

Individuals who are not American citizens and those who do not have permanent residence status with an I-51 or Green Card must apply as “international students”.

International students must submit all the forms included in the “instructions for international students applying for undergraduate/graduate programs”.

International admission requirements include the following items:

 IELTS

Overall band score of 6.0 or higher
